The first LA BAMBA restaurant opened its doors in Saskatoon, SK on december 2007 by a mexican family in an attempt to bring authentic mexican food to this beautiful city.

This little restaurant known as LA BAMBA CAFE was the first restaurant to offer authentic and traditional Mexican food in this city, in the prairies and all western Canada. LA BAMBA is characterized by offering Authentic and Traditional Mexican meals. All these meals come from recipes originated in the State of Tlaxcala and Mexico, D.F. and Maria (one of the founders of La Bamba) is the one who put them together to offer Canada a taste of her home and Mexico.

Our meals are Authentic because all our recipes come directly from Mexico. What you eat at La Bamba is what you would probably eat if you visit a Mexican family. All our meals are Traditional because all our meals are those that Mexican families have been eating for ages and this kind of meals are based on traditions and culture.

“ Love it all! My wife and I have eaten here many times. Nachos are fabulous. Every dish we've had is tasty. Personally I enjoy the rice and beans you get with a meal, and that adds atmosphere and flavor for me. My wife and I often get the nachos and enchiladas and it's a great mix of flavors and more than enough food for two. It's a small restaurant but a great Mexican feel. We'll definitely keep coming back. ”

“ Absolutely amazing enchiladas from La Bamba in Saskatoon. The one is a green tomatillo sauce, and the other is the mole sauce which is made with chocolate and spices. Both of them were absolutely fantastic. The refried beans were delicious as was the rice. By far the best Mexican food I've had in Saskatchewan.”

" Are here for the first time and I was not disappointed. I tried the enchiladas with both chipotle and verdes sauce. Both selling their own right.
